Moving right along, my bodice is now assembled as well as the lower coat. The topstitching is done and I now need to attach the waistband.
Time to go sew some more! :)

For those who are interested, here is a view of the inside of the bodice before I sewed the shoulder seams. You can see the hand basted hair canvas interfacing. I bought a pair of duck-billed applique scissors and trimmed the interfacing so it would be out of the seam allowances everywhere except in the armhole. I read that you should not trim the interfacing at the armhole because it will help support the sleeve. I wasn't very accurate with my trimming and the hair canvas was caught in my seams in a few places. This made it very difficult to press the seams flat so I went back and trimmed it away where I could. A word to the wise: don't eyeball the 5/8" seam allowance when trimming the interfacing, measure it!

oh! you interfaced all the coat! nice! I'm planning to do a coat, I have the fabric, but I need to find the correct pattern :)
